Step 1: Go to the start menu and search Run and click it to open.

Step 2: Search for gpedit.msc and open it.

Step 3: Then look for Computer configurationthen click Administrative Templates then Windows Components and then click on Windows Defender Anti-virus.

Step 4: You see a Turn off Windows Defender Antivirus button so clicks on that button.

Step 5: Click on Enable and press enter.

Step 6: Now, restart your PC.

How to disable Windows Defender permanently via Registry

 

This method maybe risky because you are going to work with Registry, so kindly take a backup before you proceed and this method is applicable only for Windows 10 Home.


Step 1: Go to the start and search for Run then press enter.

Step2: Then, search for Registry and open it. Press Yes, if they ask for User Account Control.

Step3: Look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindows Defender.

Step 4: On the right side of your screen, right-click and choice New then DWORD(32bit) value.

Step 5: Click on Disable anti Spyware and press ok.

Step 6: After clicking at Disable the Anti-spyware button, give 1 as value data.

Step 1: Press the Windows key and look for Windows Defender Security Centre. Open it by clicking Enter.

Step 1: Look at the Windows Defender icon in the status bar and double press, if it is installed, you can go with C:Program FilesWindows Defender.

Step 2: From the top of the menu bar choose Tools, then look for Options.

Step 3: On the left-hand side of your screen hit on the Administrator button.

Step 4: On the right-hand side of your screen, uncheck the box Use this program.

Step 5: Click Enter.
